I hope you guys like our new single. I really enjoy playing this tune live. Live, I play some key pads on steel as well as the steel parts. Anyway, not traditional country, but I feel a good tune.

Steve loved the song, sorry we missed hearing you on it. Even though you play more when playing live I think this is what all of the talk is lately about the absence of steel on recordings today.

Steve - I love the tune - Theresa is right - great melody and vocals. Sure i wished the steel would have been high in the mix but i love the song and im sure you have a blast with these guys

Thanks for the comments folks. The CMT mix sounds slightly different than the radio/cd mix. The steel is up a tad higher on the CD. I don't know if the CMT mix is from some compression scheme they use or what.
Regardless, it is what it is. At my age, I am just thrilled to be a part of Rosehill. The guys are all pretty young (22-29) but they have a healthy respect for honky tonk and love Waylon, Merle,etc... We have one song on our CD called "Glass of Whiskey" that is clearly a reflection of their appreciation of old school honky tonk.
It's actually a waltz with a prominent steel solo.

We are just beginning work on our next CD/Project and I am lobbying hard for a couple of hard core walking bass shuffles. We'll see. I am only one vote out of 6.
