I just started to read this article. I didn't finish it; because it's (naturally) in English and it's somtimes a little hard to keep my concentration up.
But what stroke me is that it's the same thing over here. What they are doing to the environmemt! Building highways everywhere, new houses, shopping malls.
I'm starting to understand Rip Van Winkle now!

Mark, yeah, me too. Sometime back in the 80's, before the Blasters were well known, I went to the Palomino to see Asleep at the Wheel. The Blasters were the openers and they just killed. I've been following him ever since and last summer, we saw him with the Guilty Women at the Santa Monica pier.
Back in the mid 90's, we were at a social function and he came up to me and thanked me for building Joaquin a guitar. It was a very nice moment.
Joachim, yes, it's the attack of the developers, and they're relentless. My favorite developer story was about one that had illegally cut down a grove of trees and there was a big uproar, but once they're down, they're down. He was then flying his plane, up near Santa Maria, when it crashed into a grove of trees. They got him back. Ite missa est.

Yea, thanks for that, Chas. My newest band opens for him in Cleveland next month, and I'm really looking forward to it. I think it's the Guilty Ones this time; seems no Cindy Cashdollar this tour.
Well, it should be quite a night regardless.
