BIAB for Mac has finally come up to PC standards new 2011 vs

Post by Bob Martin »

I just left the pgmusic.com site and it looks like they have released and new version for Mac vs. 2011 and as a quick look over it seems to be very close to the biab 2011 for the PC. Keep in mind I only spent less than 15 minutes reading and watching promo videos but it sure looks like 2011 for PC .

I've waited for this upgrade for such a long time, it has always been PC first and Mac second. I've used the PC version only because of it being superior to Mac's version but it now seems they may be on even terms.

Please check this out for yourself and make sure it is what you want, remember I spent less than 15 minutes comparing the 2 versions but I'm pretty sure they are both very close in options. Isn't that great? I no longer have to use the PC version just because of the PC version being way ahead in features.

Good luck and I hope I have read all of the features correct!!!

I purchased the 2011 Band-in-a-Box UltraPlusPak for Windows on December 29, 2010.

I would like to transfer over to the Mac operating system, but I have to pay for 2011 Band-in-a-Box UltraPlusPak again.

Yeah, that's the only thing I have against PG Music, They are pretty much sticklers on not letting you switch from one platform to the other for free.

I can understand if it has been 4 or 5 months but I don't know what they would do if it had been in the last 30 days. More than likely they would give you your money back and let you buy the Mac version.

I've got to much money invested in the PC side to switch over to the new Mac platform. That's kind of sad because I would much rather use biab on the Mac.

Along with my first post about Mac's new version of BIAB coming up close to the PC's version I would like to say that they did not port "Real Band" over to the Mac because as I have read they want you to use Garage Band with the new Mac version of BIAB 2011 and it is purported that Garage Band works as good if not better than "Real Band" when used with BIAB's new Mac version of BIAB 2011.

You should ask questions and listen to the demos before you spend your cash to switch to the new Mac version :-)
