Love that Guild!!! I had an old M 65 3/4 single pickup. Traded it down in Austin TX 20 years ago and have been kicking myself from that day to this!!! What a great sounding guitar it was.

I can only keep from crying with jealousy because I have a few choice vintage pieces to cuddle too. The Guild and gold top must have been nice! For standards, I'm pacified by a '60 Bigsby/Magnatone Mark V, slab body. I should have pix like your's... thanx for posting them.

Great stuff! IIRC the first version of the piggyback Tremo came with 1 10" speaker, but that a 12" with the Tone Ring could be had by special order.I've never seen one in person.
The Strat-and-Tremo pic brought back some fond memories of my first big amp-a '62 Tremo I got for Christmas that year. Here's a pic.

I see some old Fender basses pictures but wonder if anybody can top this one:
I bought this Fender Precision bass in 1955 when I was playing with a polka band in Minnesota.
I still have the original strings, strap, neck tag and tweed case.

I love vintage instruments and I've owned many, particularly archtops and things like that, but as much as I do love them, the hunt takes away far too much of my playing time (because, you know, you can't have just one!). It becomes a full time job and an end in itself.

Erv, I wouldn't sell it either! Keep it till you're desperate for $$'s, the market is down anyway. Nice lookin bass! Every vintage piece I've ever sold I have truely regretted selling in the past. I'll contact you soon for another small order of Hawaiian songs. Dana

Here's a couple of picks of a 1965 Gibson Lg-1. I know it's missing a string. It needs a new bridge, and possibly a new nut, I am basically the second owner. I have original leather strap and faux alligator case. For a few years Gibson used bolt on "plastic" bridges and this one is starting to fail. The guitar has no cracks or buldging behind the bridge a very solid(except for bridge, slightly loose) some checking. Original Kluson tuners which are in very good shape.I am trying to decide to replace bridge or just sell it as it is(all original). The neck is nice 24 3/4" scale, the guitar is basically a student model but sounds very good, especially for blues or convert to a lap steel.

Since we're playing "you show me yours and I'll show you mine", here's, I believe, a 1937 Rickenbacher bakelite.
