I totally missed seeing the Jackson frypan at the show....
Thanks Brad for posting the pic.
This was my first show to make and it was really an experience. Looking forward to next year in a big way
The blue Fender steel guitar with the built in seat is Gene Field's personal guitar that he built when he worked for Fender in the the 70s...it's in the style of his PS 210 except that one neck is pedal steel and the other neck is a standard neck with 8 strings that he plays a la Thumbs Carlisle.....

Settings......I set my meter readings (exposure) to spot metering (instead of overall)and expose/focus for the face.....I also have a little editing & correction program that I use to fix things up......indoors you don't have to worry about lighting too much because the flash overides other lighting.....but when you're outdoors, you have to be much more aware of the lighting situation....
The fiddle player is in fact Jade Jack - she spent some time on the main stage as well. I believe I remember seeing her sing "Let's Chase Each Other Round the Room Tonight" on the main stage with Moon when she could not have been more than five years old. The next generation of serious talent from a seriously talented family.

We're glad everyone is enjoying them. Video will be coming soon. It's a taxing job and Howard is trying to fit it into his already busy schedule.
Our goal this year with the video footage is to give a sampling of each artist, to encourage people to come to the Dallas convention, to support the artists and TSGA. If some artists don't want their videos posted, we will need to honor that. But we hope to be able to post a few songs from everyone, to give a good sampling of what one can expect by attending "live".
The artists know this is a non-profit event...it's simply for the preservation and encouragement of a musical artform. Steel Guitar is the most beautiful instrument in the world, but is equally as difficult to learn to play. We just want people to keep playing and enjoying it.
