I wonder if they actually made that. It looks like a Gibson that they customized.

It could be possible that it is actually a Sho-Bud. Shot was the guy that did Buck Trent's banjo. I would guess that when that banjo was new that Buck was still with Roy. Also there was a time on Hee-Haw when the Clark family along with Shot did a segment and they all had Sho-Bud instruments.

I had a 70s Ibanez Mastertone copy with this exact case

I sold it to a friend, he still has it - it's a well-made banjo. I imagine this is a pretty good banjo, but not made by Sho Bud, per se.

The hardware and the hole pattern in the flange look very much like a Japanese era Epiphone. I suspect you could buy the same banjo with a number of different names on the headstock.
