For my money, there's no better guitar player in his early 20s right now than Julian Lage - and (for my personal taste) I like everything he plays better than everything Herb Ellis played during his entire career. This clip is an interesting mix of playful cooperation and a slight edge of competition from Frank as this young whippersnapper displays his awesome musicality in the musical bag in which Frank made his reputation.

Some super talent here, but I must disagree with Andy. Herb Ellis was a brilliant musician whose primary talent was fitting in with a combo and contributing outstanding comping and tasteful solos. He was never a "show off".Both of these guys have some great talent but I doubt they are ready for the Oscar Peterson Trio.
