Film Tour of the Fender Factory 1959

Thanks to the FJ editors for the link. Several of the usual suspects ... Fender, Freddie Tavares, George Fullerton. Bet the guy on the bandsaw had no clue that slab he was cutting into a Tele would later be considered, in some circles, almost a sacred relic worth many times it's original selling price.

Different times--I only saw one guy with goggles (up on his forehead), otherwise all those people on power tools and spraying nitrocellulose lacquer with no masks or goggles. And it must have been hot under that Southern California sun with no AC!

As I remember, Leo moved from his Radio Repair store on Spadra Ave. (now Harbor Blvd.)
into two small Industrial Buildings just behind the Fullerton Train Station in the late 40's. Is the Video in this post after he moved to the larger quarters on Raymond Ave ? I visited the first Factory many times and bought my first Fender Amp dircctly from the Factory for 20.00 a month until it was paid off on just a handshake.
