Faron Young

Post by Greg Wisecup »

Faron Young has been one of my favorites as long as I can remember and always will be. I made mention to my wife that I would like the book written about him by Diane Diekman for Christmas. Well; I got it and I have barely put it down since Christmas morning.
I must say that even though I knew how the book would end it was pain full none the less. The book has so much great information and historical references that it's a must read to any one who enjoyed and still enjoy country music today. It references a few of our friends here on the forum and really puts the business of country music right out there and in your face. As with any business' there are some things that will surprise and even amaze you. All that being said; it is a great book and I highly recommend it.
A very simple yet complex individual; Faron Young!
Derby SD-10 4&5 Black!(duh)/

Nashville 400/Nux Atlantic/Strobo Stomp HD Boss RV 3
As long as I'm down in the mix I'm Fantastic!

That's Diane on the far right. Next to her is Skip Jackson, one of Faron's steel players, my wife, Leann of Sharp Covers Nashville, Richard Bass, Faron's guitarist for many years, and a friend of Diane's. Pic at the Midnight Jamboree 3 years ago.
