Since the CMAs will be starting here shortly, I thought I'd save us all a bit of time and trouble by posting the predictable complaints
ahead of time.
"It just isn't country music except maybe that Miranda Lambert song."
"It isn't worth listening to because there was almost no steel guitar you could hear."
"Why doesn't everyone have the decency to dress like you're supposed to on stage like in the good old days."
"I tried to watch but it was just too (fill in the blank) so I switched it off after a couple of minutes."
My hope is that by getting these out of the way in advance, it will allow us all to just sit back and enjoy the show should we, in fact, choose to watch.
Glad to help.

I hate to miss the show, but I really need to watch some paint dry. Paint is so finicky and unpredictable.

Gotta add:
"why do they always pan to the drummer/fiddle/audience when the steeler's playin'?"

except the steel players?

Lonnie... do you really think we watch it for the vocalist? So many of them are lost without their miracle studio engineers and pitch correction software. But yes, the ladies look great and rumor has it that Mike Johnson is gonna be on and I'm sure Randall Currie isn't to far away from Brads side... so I'll keep watching.

Had to be because they don't know what a steel is since they never show one!

I watched some of it with my son, who is a punk rocker. He said, "Wow, my band could be on there."
I said "That's right. Doesn't matter what kind of music you play. Just put on a cowboy hat, and you're country."

I'll bet Lower Broad was honking last night..
From what I heard a lot of people were disapointed they could not get tickets..For a city and an industry that was devastated by flood waters, this was a very good night..I did not hear any HOF inductions last night or did I miss that part?.All in all one of the better shows..I was impressed with the ZAC BROWN band..I admit its the first time I ever heard them or of them..
