Help Identifying a Song

Post by Richard Sinkler »

Don't know the title or artist. The first line of the song is...

"When you come home at night, Don't turn on the lights, 'cuz I don't want you to see me cry..."

This is a slow ballad. Need artist info as well as song name.

Thanks.
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro (D tuning), Recording King Professional Dobro (G tuning), NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .

Playing for 55 years and still counting.

Thanks Clete. That's not it though. I'll try to get more of the words. I should know them as I have been playing this song for about 4 years. The singer can't remember who did it or what the name is. But, this singer only does real old classic country. This song is probably from the 60's or earlier.
