As far as I know, the Manasota crew will be in attendance. I will be bringing my recently refurbished ShoBud SD-10 Pro II Custom to show off. I'm waiting for new tuning nuts to finish it off. Ernie, I'll also be bringing your 'dustcatcher' fretboard with me. Don - will your new guitar be in attendance? I can't wait to see it.
Rittenberry/Seymour/ShoBud/MCI "Franken-steel", 2022 Brook Lyn, 2014 Martin 000-18, 2022 Ibanez GB-10 (for sale) , two homebrew Teles, Evans RE200 amp, Henriksen Bud 6 amp, understanding wife of 50 years.

Larry Lorrows, e-mail me (or a PM on here on the forum) with your current e-mail address. The one I have bounced when I sent out the July jam notice.
Skip, the "show and tell" with the refurb Sho-Bud will be nice. From the latest e-mail from Don, this morning, it will be "show and tell and listen" to his new Weenik.

My new WEENICK beauty is ready and sounds like heaven.
It will we there up front so you can have a gander at it.
If you are gentle with your picking and knee levers I'll even let you play it.

What is so neat about the tiger striping is as you move from side to side the stripes change from full dark to light stripes and the light stripes turn to full black.
Like a holagram.
I love it and it plays so smooth.
We"ll see you on the 14th, "Miss Blue" and I.

Don,
That's a beauty. Martin does a great job. I saw Ernie's green one while Martin was building it. Both of you guys must be proud of those axes.
Say "Hi" to everyone for me.

You'll notice I had the "Dustcathers" put on my new steel.
I like them and have never once had a problem with them.
I like them because they stand out and I can see them.
I need to take some pictures outside so you can really see how beautiful this steel is.
The dark room like don't do it justice.
What I found out is my case weighs more than my steel.

Don - I really don't mind them at all, but this guitar looks so good with the white fretboard, I couldn't resist. Ernie asked me for the old one before I even got the thing apart and who am I to turn Ernie down?!
I can't wait to see yours in person.
BTW - I envy you - this thing weighs a TON!!!
See ya Wednesday!

Jack do you mean it?
Mike Bondz e-mailed me and asked about coming this month (Johnny Bondz son).
I have a set of the OPA2143PA Op Amps, like the ones Ken Fox is selling, that can be used to mod a Nashville 1000 or Nashville 112. I put a set in my Nashville 1000 and love it, but I put a set in my Nashville 112 and didn't so one set is for sale ($20). I'll have them with me Wednesday evening.
For anyone around The Villages (or other areas) John Thomas (singer that has been to several club jams) is starting a new Monday night show/jam at the Oxford community center. Time is 6 to 9:30PM. Tomorrow is our first show, the band will be the Catfish Johnny Hushpuppy Band, Cal Akers on Lead, Bernie Waldon on Bass, Karl Congdon on Drums, my wife Trudy on Rhythm Guitar and me on steel. Admission is $5. This is where Golf Brooks used to have a Monday evening show, not sure what happned to him.

I guess I won't be bringing my 'Bud - Clyde is on a cruise so we won't have his van and it won't fit in Tom's car with 4 people. Oh, well maybe next time - I'd rather look at Don's anyway.

Good Jam last night.
Don's new Weenik got a lot of attention. Personally, I like it's sound better than Don's Sho-Bud or Emmons Legrande II.
Fred, Jack mentioned you (not going to say what he said about you
) and did "Look At Us" for your wedding anniversary.
Next jam is Wednesday August 11, 2010.
There was an inquiry about the September date (8th) which is the Wednesday after the ISGC. As it stands right now (but it could change) the 8th is still on for September.

Thanks guys for the very nice comments about my Weenick SD-10.
I can't take any of the credit as Mike Weeenick built a Superb Custom Steel for me.
I made suggestions and sketches of what I wanted and he put his wonderful hands to work and gave me a master piece and a beautiful one at that also.
I have to agree with Jack. It does sound so much better than my Super Pro or Legrande II without a doubt.
I was so wound up over the tone I was getting out of the steel that I tried some things extending myself further in my playing than I have ever done before.
Sitting next to Jack Dougherty pushed me to the limit also. He is such a great player.
Thanks JD for the duo on Blue Jade.

As I mentioned to Mr. Stoner.......You never know what's going to happen at one of our meetings. I was not disappointed.
Don's gi-tar is a keeper. Very interesting color pattern. Had a lot of eyes on it. Always enjoy the fellowship and good playing.
I will be out of town next month so you all stay out of trouble at least until I get back.
