I had been telling Mr Green about Dale for what seems like YEARS, and he finally not only 'came around', but he provided the steel and a "few other things" to say the least. He got the band together with Pig Robbins and Pete Wade. I dunno if he was the "session guy:, but I think it's fair to say that he "dominated" it.
I can't wait.
He told me that it's the best state of the art classic country that he remembers being involved in, paraphrased of course. There are LOTS of things that he couldn't put into words about how much he enjoyed it.
I was taken at how much he said Dale had the best voice in many ways that he's ever heard for real classic country, and couldn't say enough about Mr.Wade's guitar. Says there's a SMOKIN instrumental on it too.
I'm going to be adding it to my LG/DW collection for sure.
Thanks for the heads up on this one Lloyd, and for your years of music and friendship.
And of course for Mr Watson for bailing out of a miserable career driving truck.
That's what I do...
