Some have emailed me for pictures, and I decided to put them on the website along with my pedal/knee lever set-up. Hope you enjoy them!
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi,
Stephen,
I always have had a base/natural tone I listen for in any guitar I've ever set down to...If the guitar itself isn't producing what I sometimes refer to as "spark" generating from the string, then it's not something I would probably play or buy.
When I first played the Derby, it did have this sound...It's not to be confused with just being an Emmons tone, it's just again, that spark coming from the string...after that, I start looking at the other construction qualities of the instrument...which are important, but I guess my point is the sounds gotta be there first...The sound can always be "colored" or "enhanced" later with efects and add-ons to fit the desired tonal need for a particular session, concert, etc..
Pete, nice to hear from you..Hows that new addition in your family? The forward knee lever was not, and probably won't be added to the Derby's...I still like the idea of it however as another option. I still have the knee levers and could always add them perhaps someday.
Johan, I was using Lawerence L-710's, and when I played the Derby, I decided to leave the E66 in and give it a try. I have become a pretty big fan of this pickup and will stay with them...
Thanks to all for having a look...
Jerry
