Tommy Detamore On Dallas Wayne's New CD

Post by Joe Goldmark »

Tommy plays gorgeously on "I'll Take The Fifth," Dallas Wayne's new album from last year. I finally got a copy and I like everything about it. The songs are good, Dallas sings beautifully and Tommy picks his ass off. He's also real tasteful and you can hear that he had a lot to do with the sterling production. Redd Volkaert and Bobby Flores also ain't too shabby. One would think that with all the other things that Tommy's involved with that his chops would be down, but not so. He's better than his Bandy days.

I love everything I hear Tommy playing on. Absolutely beautiful tone, and a style that's simply beautiful on everyhing he does. Definately among the best of the best for sure!

Dallas lives about a half mile from me (unless he's moved recently) and I've had the opportunity to spend some time with him. Very nice guy, very genuine and true to his roots.

Tommy D? What's to say that hasn't been said. Great guy, great engineer, great producer, great player..

Of course I love Tommy; he has engineered and co-produced our last two Miss leslie CD's....and they are awesome.
For a side-note; here is Tommy on Guitar; yes he is a Wonderful Guitar player also....on this recent cut off the latest CD: "wrong is what i do best".
TURN AROUND
Of course he can play just some Monster stuff on Guitar also; but just listen to the perfect fitting stuff and sweetness of the tone he gets and certainly compliments the steel player...ha.

Thanks for the tip Joe!
I ordered the CD right away.
I am totally blown away by Tommy's approach to anything he plays (or produces).
