Fender Twin Reverb head room

Post by Kevin Hatton »

What is the best way to maximize an 85 Twin reverb's head room? Can it be made to play clean at club volume?

Kevin,

After battling this isue on and off for a few years, the first place I'd go with increasing headroom would be the speaker. A nice big EVM would give you lots of clean.

The SICA speakers are sure doing well for us in the amps we are building. I can also supply them in 12" as well. Sure takes a load off the amp, too!

Ken, are the 12" SICA's a good swap for the NV112 stock speaker?

They are not available in 4 ohms for the 12" model yet. I will inquire about that ASAP.
