Question for Evans FET 500 users
Do ya'll use the amp reverb on the FET 500rd or some type of pedal reverb, or maybe a rack unit like the Lexicon 110?
Also, how many use a Black box with your Evans FET 500rd?

I've tried external units and always go back to the amps reverb. I prefer a good spring reverb and the Evans FET 500's have a good 3 spring tank.
My SE-200 has built in digital reverb that sounds great. But still doesn't have the sparkle of the FET 500 as far as reverb is concerned.

Fet 500
Thanks ya'll. I like the amp reverb better since I got my tone dialed in, but I'm still thinkin about a lexicon reverb unit. I use a Hilton pedal for my main pedal, but have an Emmons for a backup. When I use the Emmons pedal, I have to turn the treble completely off, and it's still a little to tinny for my liking. So it's either sell the Emmons pedal and get another Hilton, or buy a Black box to take the shrill out of the highs. I'd kinda like to know what it would sound like with my Emmons pedal and a BB.

Terry - If the Black Box is a little too pricey, consider getting one of Brad's FreeLoaders. It will tame those highs that are bothering you.

There are only two options as I see it.
Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.

Sarno FreeLoader, Goodrich Passive Volume Pedals, Vintage ACE Pack-A-Seat

Freeloader
Lee, I've had a black box before and really liked it. But I know nothing about the Freeloader. Has it got a tube in it like the BB, and does it have the variable z knob?

There is no tube, but it does have the variable Z knob on it.
