Well, it was pretty good. I guess if you like today's music, it was enjoyable, if not....prolly not.
Some nice moments, some disappointments for me.
Nice time out for a tribute to Les Paul. The vocalist did a nice job on How High the Moon.
Also an award went to Harold Bradley.
Anybody know who was playing the white LP on the Nicks/Swift
spot?

Thanks, Rick - I was switching back and forth (instead of practicing like I need to be doing!), so missed any introduction.
I thought it looked like him, but seemed too young(!!!) That was a nice spot, I thought.
I'm personally underwhelmed by all the production 'visuals', but there was certainly some fine music in places. I heard a snatch of great guitar-playing that was clearly on tape and used as background to something-or-other. Frustrating! An anonymous donor!!!

Cool Roger! I was lucky enough to accidentally channel surf right right to it at the beginning of How High the Moon. After that I quit while I was ahead. Although I did briefly surf back just in time to see Quentin Tarrantino act like a goofball to give some props to the great Clark Terry. I thought that was cool until they quickly switched gears to some crappy-rap-crap.
Speaking of How High the Moon, you should've heard Earnest Bovine nail it on steel in a Les Paul medley at the Phoenix Steel show!!!

Beck was incredible. He was using an old Tweed Deluxe, I believe, and with his Les Paul the tone was glorious.

Ridiculous worthlessness wins again...
I heard some of the tune that got Beyonce her accolades. Pure drivel, and not good drivel either.

I'm not up on MJ news and trivia, but are those kids really Michael Jackson's offspring? The resemblance is...well...not striking.
