What kind of guitar is the rhythm guitar player playing? Stromberg? D'Angelico?

The big eyes in the background are scary!

Jerry;

That is Doug Dalton. Here is a pic of the entire group, with their great vocalist Sweet Georgia Brown (Juanita Vastine). Dalton was alive around Dayton Ohio in the 1990s, but I guess he never recorded after maybe 1960?

THe Whipporwills are fantastic. Doug Dalton was one of Jethro Burns' favorite players. THey were like Manhatan Transfer with instruments. Eyde Gorme's signing on the other hand .... yuck.

Thanks for that, Jussi. It led me to root through all of Deke's clips for the great stuff with Thumbs, Grady, and especially Joaquin. I just started a thread on "Steel On The Web" about the Joaquin items.

Yeah Mitch, Deke has uploaded a lot of cool stuff recently. It was also great to see Bud Isaacs on those, and Thumbs clips are just too cool!
