Amazon.com music connections

Post by b0b »

A few years ago, I bought Bach on the Banjo from Amazon.com as a gift for my son-in-law (no son-in-law jokes, please! ;-)). Today I received this email from Amazon:
Dear Amazon.com Customer,

We've noticed that customers who have purchased or rated Bach on the Banjo have also purchased Third Heaven Throne Room Edition by Stephen Williams. For this reason, you might like to know that Third Heaven Throne Room Edition is now available. You can order yours for just $8.98 by following the link below.

Third Heaven Throne Room Edition
Stephen Williams
Price: $8.98
I'm just trying to imagine how they made that connection. Are any two CDs more dissimilar? Does someone out there really like baroque banjo and religious R&B? :whoa:

It just boggles my mind.

Maybe very few customers bought the first album you've mentioned. If only one or two of them bought the soft soul album, this could make the connection. Just a guess.

When I first read it, I thought they were connecting banjo music with the bathroom (throne room). :whoa: Maybe Amazon has a comedian working for them!

I know I'm walking on THIN ICE here,if I vanish from the forum you guys will know why. Mr. Bob a while back you posted a photo of your beautiful little grand daughter watching her daddy playing his banjo, she really seemed to like it, I told you when she got big enough to hold it,you should buy her a nice old Master tone. She should be ready by now don't you think ? YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC.

Maybe one is the poison and the other is the antidote.
