They've been around for a few years. You have three different directional controls - left/right, top/bottom and pressure.

You'll notice the demo guy is still talking about saxophone sounds, "Indian-sounding", whammy bars etc.
(6:22 - rounding to just intonation!)

I wish someone would give me one (hey it's Christmas!) but ultimately, as always, it comes down to compositions.

Anyone who's fooled around with one will appreciate her amazing technique and pitch control.There have been other players since her but none even come close.
