L.A. Bass Player Jeff Roberts Passes

I just got word an hour or so ago that Jeff Roberts had been found dead in his home - of as yet undetermined causes.Years ago Jeff was in the Lonesome Strangers and more recently,was the regular bass player with Cisco and a fixture in the L.A. country and roots scene as well as a regular at Ronnie Mack's Barndance.Jeff was in seemingly good health,great shape,free of bad habits and only in his mid 40s.I played a lot of gigs and recording sessions with Jeff in Cisco's band in the last couple of years.Great singing bass player and great guy.He leaves behind a 12 year old daughter 2 weeks before Christmas.What a shock and a drag... -MJ-

Sorry to hear about that Michael, sure is a terrible time of year for anyone to pass.
The Lonesome Strangers were a cool band that pretty much missed all the attention,.. a shame.
