Pedal Steel Player needed in Medford, Oregon

Hi SGF:

Country singer Guy Nix starts a new three month gig at the Shanendoah Club this Friday night (12/14/01) in Medford, Oregon and he's looking for a pedal steel player.

I auditioned for the gig on Monday evening and was offered the position. But because I suffer from tinnitus (ear ringing on a full time basis), I changed my mind the following morning because the sound level of the band is very high.

The group currently consists of Nix along with a lead guitarist, keyboard-bassist and drummer. All the musicians in the group are top-notch and the band plays top-40 country music.

Sound level problems aside, I believe that this is a very challenging gig for a pedal steel guitarist. If you are near the Rogue Valley southern Oregon area, contact Nix "asap" and get an audition.
