DVD "New Orleans"

Post by Edward Meisse »

I've been sick as a dog this week. So I've been home watching movies. I found a real gem of a movie called "New Orleans." It is a piece of historical fiction set in the early days of jazz. Stars Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday and Woody Herman. I highly recommend it.

The Sting Rays......that rings a bell. Didn't they have a big hit once upon a time? And I was, "Stuck," in New Orleans without a load over the weekend of Loius's 100th birthday celebration. It was quite a weekend. ;-)

Cleat, Russ was well known back in the 70's. He also had a band called the Rustlers. He was known as the Crescent City's connection for country back in those days.
