Here is a YouTube video that I had not seen. Phil doing his Starday hit. Is that the west coast Hometown Jamboree?

Don't believe it was from the West Coast, the Ma ster of ceremonies at the end was no one I reckognized from the Hometown Jamboree. Cliffie Stone was the MOC for the HTJ. Must have been somewhere in the East. Phil was out in the Westcoast for some time but eventually went to Nashville.

Phil Baugh was the best. Every time I watch that video I'm amazed. Country style lead guitar at its finest.
Sho-Bud Pro III + Marshall JMP 2204 half stack = good grind!

I'd say that was probably from Texas. When Phil left SoCal he went to the Dallas area along with Vern Stoval who sang the vocals on the original recording of "Country Guitar".....JH in Va.
Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!
