The Locust
Those Crazy kids in Bug Suits sound a lot like the late GG Allin, minus the stage effects, thankfully.

Hey, they're on ANTI records, same as Merle Haggard. Maybe they'll do a tour together.
One of the great things about this forum is I always come away feeling like a youngster. The Locust is a pretty challenging listen, but there's way more headscratching music out there than these guys.
For example, may I submit for your listening pleasure:
The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza

or maybe

Many of you are probably familiar with John Zorn's Naked City album from 1988 which consisted of Zorn (alto sax), Bill Frisell (guitar), Fred Frith (bass) Wayne Horvitz (keyboards), Joey Baron (drums), and Yamatsuka Eye with the most unusal and amazing vocal contributions. This album was a true watershed experience for me. For those of you who haven't heard it; on an initial listening it sounds like random, sampled sounds, much in the style of John Cage's taped sounds experiments. But after repeated listenings the complexity of the performances start to become apparent. I listen to it frequently, and I always hear something new in it. This was a monster project with monster musicians all around.
Anyhow, to me, it sounds like The Locust took a lot from John Zorn's Naked City project. See if you don't agree Here's a link to a 1992 Naked City performance of "Speedfreaks":

and "Sack of Feces":

and "Shock Corridors" plus "Igneous Ejaculation":

and finally, Henry Mancini's "A Shot in the Dark":

Keep on pickin'!
