Lexington New Millenium Jam
The Central Kentucky Steel Guitar Club will hold an all-day Saturday show on June 3rd at the Kentucky Inn in Lexington. The show will begin at 10:00 AM and run to about 7:00 PM. HERBY WALLACE HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE LINEUP AS FEATURED PROFESSIONAL PLAYER and will be playing Saturday afternoon.
The occasion not only celebrates steel at the beginning of the new millenium, but also celebrates the 20th birthday of the club, which began in 1980. The other performers are thus mostly those who have appeared on the quarterly shows over the years.
Fifteen steelers in addition to HERBY have indicated that they will be playing, including: Findley Begley, Ron Browning, Chet Brummett, Billy Burchfield, Clyde Coffey, Porter Corum,Roy Hardaway, Greg Jones, Bob Knight, Fred Layman, Audie McQueary, Sonny Morgan, Jerry Overstreet, Ron Parker, and Boogie Sherrard.
No admission is being charged, so come on over and join with us in the celebration.
[This message was edited by Fred Layman on 31 May 2000 at 04:28 PM.]
