Just For The Fun Of It " Or " A Good Deal Of It?

Post by LJ Eiffert »

How many of you play music just for the fun of it or a good deal of it is for the money.Like a good softball game the underdogs never win. After coming off the road for 12 days from Rancho Cucamonga,California Courthouse to Twin Falls,Idaho, them little ghost tracks of Elko County to Jackpot Nevada right into ELY at Radio Station KDSS 92.7fm and in Twin Falls at KEZJ 95.7fm, Country Music is still alive for " I'm A No Body ". Taking a chance on life made in Elko is The National Cowboy Poetyry Gathering. Like Don Edwards said,we walk a thin line, but, you can't live the life without the politics. So,what part of this opportunities of life do you play in Music? I'm (LEO) just trying to check it out to see if the sky is the limit for the fun of it,or is it heaven send for the good times in Music. Sincerely in Music, Leo J.Eiffert,Jr.

The money helps and the fun as well. For myself, there was always the monkey. You know, the monkey on your back that makes you totally miserable unless you are playing somewhere. Toward the end, when clubs were disappearing and I was playing less,I could hardly stand it. I even prayed to get the monkey off my back.

Now that he has been gone for several years, I kinda miss him.

I don't play any instrument, but I'm married to a musician.
He plays guitar, self - employed. Yes, it's for the money! :)

He's played many sessions with no pay,,, not intentionally.
He's played for the love of it, setting in. It's his life! :)

When you decide it's your life. You do what you must do to succeed! :)

P.S.
He's playing with Connie Smith tomorrow in Canada! :)
