Eric Darling, R.I.P.

One of my favorite musicians and greatest influences when I was a teenager. I still have one of his solo LPs. I saw him perform several times with the Weavers, and once accompanying folk singer Oscar Brand.

I have often wondered what became of him when all the folkies went electric in the mid 60s. In 1962, he was the king of the pop charts with Walk Right In. 5 years later it seemed nobody except me remembered or cared about him.

Eric souped up the Weavers for sure....Marching To Praetoria and Bowling Green...I think they called him a counter tenor....I loved his style. Peter
