Nice stuff, Doug. What amp and effects were you using?

Thanks, David. I didn't use an amp... I patched the lap steel directly into a small DigiTech multi-effects using some chorus and a small amount of overdrive and then into the computer. The recording program is Audacity and the backing track is band-in-a-box. Thanks again!

Very nice Doug. That's a very unique sound.

I wonder if most people would guess that you are playing a lap steel guitar.??? :)

:D Nice, Doug. Would you post that tuning again? I've got all of Tom Morrell's CDs. Worn out a couple of them! I wish someone would come out with a TAB anthology of his works. He's got some really cool chord voicings and progressions.

Thanks, Ron, Roger, Terry. I made one change in Tom Morrell's E13 tuning. I tune string 10 to B, instead of E. Notice that strings 5 through 10 are the same as E9 pedal steel guitar.

[tab]

1. G# 3
2. F# 2 (9)
3. E root
4. C# 6
5. B 5
6. G# 3
7. F# 2
8. E root
9. D 7b
10. B 5

Doug, These melodies are ALL absolutely MARVELOUS!!!Congratulations[ on your wonderful rendition of each one. As an Eharpist, I especially appreciate that you have made your lap steel playing available.
Thank you very much!!!
I am in love with each of these fine performances..do you have theme available on a CD?

Also, have you tabulated any of your non-pedal E13 songs? Can we purchase some?

PLEASE continue with this endeavor, and do please make as much as you can available to us lappers!

-Del, Eharpist

Thank you so much, Del! I appreciate your kind and generous words. The songs I have posted are demos, and I don't have them on CD or tabbed out. I'm enjoying playing 10-string lap steel nowadays. Maybe sometime I'll put together some E13 lap steel tab. It won't be anytime soon though because I have a number of other projects I'm supposed to be working on. ;-)

Doug,

Could you repost the link to the E13 Blues?

The page/file is not delivering.

I would love to hear this.

Thanks,
Bill Fulbright

Doug--- You are one of the coolist blues pickers I know. I really loved this last song you put on the forum(E-13 Blues)I also liked the BIAB trax you used, that certainly was not just one that was stock in the list of styles.Didnt you put the track together your self?

Keep it up I wait for the next one

Thanks Norm and Howard. The backup track is BIAB, but I can't remember which style I used. I have version 2007, and this is one of the blues styles. It's mainly bass, drums, and organ. thanks again. 8)
