Peavey pre-EQ pedal patch

Post by Gary Cosden »

I can see the benefit of using the pre-Eq pedal patch with a pot pedal. In fact when I tired it with my Emmons pedal I couldn't tell any tone change from full off to full on. I wish I'd known about it sooner! Only owned the amp for 20 years! My question: is there any benefit to using the patch with a Hilton pedal which already has virtually no tone change issue? Thanks

Gary, no. The Hilton Pedal takes care of the constant load to the guitar's pickup and there is no tone change in the Hilton.

Gary: what's the proper way to hook this up? I tried at rehearsal this week with my Goodrich, and the volume would not go all the way off, can't find my NV112 owner's manual, Peavey website is down. Here's how I tried: send to pedal input, return to pedal output, cord from guitar to high gain input.
Mullen RP D10, Peavey NV112, Hilton volume. Hound Dog reso. Piles of other stuff.

Michael; That's the only way! 1. Guitar OUT to Hi-Gain IN. 2. Send to V.Pedal IN. 3. V.Pedal OUT to Return.
