Steeler needed for Ukulele lesson website -- possibly more?
I've got a friend, from Hawaii, who is Hawaiian, who is an incredible ukulele player. I played with him a few years ago, and he recently approached me to play some lap steel on some uke/bass tracks for a website that features uke lessons. He would like the steel to emulate the melody line of some Hawaiian folk songs, and, by gosh, I just don't have the patience nor time presently to learn the acrobatic styles of some of these Hawaiian folk songs. They're sung so beautifully, falsetto and all, but it's just not my style to do. I'm more of an improv guy. I've never had the discipline to learn things note for note. If I wasn't in the middle of school, I'd probably do it, but I just don't have the time.
He records digitally on a hard drive and can format his stuff to be imported onto most anything. I use Pro Tools. You can talk to him about the specifics. It can all be done by mail and email. He lives in Seattle, by the way.
Anyone want to take this nonpaying gig? Let me know, and I'll put you in touch with him.

Where's Newcastle, WA?
I'd be interested........
Not sure I could hack the assignment but I'd be interested in being considered for it. He can listen to some traditional Hawaiian tunes that are posted on the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Assn.., web site, on which I played steel. All three CD's won first place in their category.
