E9 and C6 "open" strings are in what octave range?
Does anyone know the octave ranges of the open strings in basic C6 and E9 tuning with respect to "middle C" on the piano?
I think they are all higher than middle C but am not sure which octave ranges they are. I read somewhere that middle c is about 32 hz.
Thanks
Kristen

Yes you are right. I think I found "C1" thinking it was the middle c on piano. And C1 is close to 32 hz. Actually, I thought the number 32 was odd myself because I also read (someplace else) that "A" above middle c was 440 hz, which was WAY highter than the 32 hz given for C , so it didn't seem to make any sense. Thanks for clearing things up!
