Refurbishing question ~ What's it worth?
So I've been working like crazy on an old MSA to get it playable again. It was in rough shape when I got it. I'm closing in on getting it all back together and finding out if it was all worth the effort. Figure on posting my before and after pics when it's all done. Anyway.... Just for grins, what would it cost to have this work done if I would have hired someone else? It's a D-10 and I've taken it totally apart, cleaned every piece, polished out what I could. Assume no parts needed. No cabinet refinishing. Just pure labor costs. Any thoughts? Just curious how big a check I should write to myself.... N.

Spent another few hours on the project last night. E9 neck is all rodded. C6 tonight hopefully. I was thinking in the $200 to $400 range as well. In the past I've paid to have my steel set up. Each time cost $100. That didn't include anything other than tweaking what was already sitting there. I did just ask about taking it apart, cleaning and putting it back together though rather than stating it had to be set up and ready to play afterward.... Can't wait to get this project done and post some pics. I think it's turning out well not to mention I've learned a ton! Thanks for your thoughts. N.
