Post by Keith Ballmer »

I just bought a D10 from E-bay... god knows I hate that place, but i bought the Dekley guitar for only $975
The guitar has no logo on it, though and I want to put one on her!

Keith.I have a single neck 10 string 3+4 and it's a unique guitar,Great sounding, mechanically speaking it is years ahead of when it was made..very precise.Mine is my back-up guitar I also have a Desert Rose which is my favorite, but It's apples and oranges,The Dekley sound is somewhere between an Emmons and a wood neck guitar? very alive sounding Harmonics just jump out of my guitar.I've owned guitars where I had to spank em' too hard to get sustain, and chimes out them,The Dekley is very sustaining. It's a little heavy...mine is 40Lbs.It's also built like a tank.I bought my guitar last X-mas and still haven't broken a string,And I play it a lot. It's also an easy guitar to work on.I think that you got a great deal on an excellent guitar.N-Joy it,Stu

Keith,
Turns out Stu and I have the same guitar. I love my Dekley. Sturdy, Stays in tune. Sounds great. It is heavy but worth the weight. You got a good deal on that baby. I payed 950.00 for my S-10 3x4 with no regrets. Have fun with your new guitar.

I just shipped my first Pedal steel guitar I bought and learned how to play on to a guy that lives in Va.
This is the first time I will not have a steel to play on for about week & and a half. Told my wife today i really need to buy a back up guitar for moments like this!
guys, if you can post a pick of your Dekley, so I can check it out, that would be great!
Any luck guys on my logo yet? Stu can you scan it on to a type of sticker paper? is that how its done? keith

Want to second or third what Stu said, I've had a Dekley D10 since it was new, rock solid, great sound, stays in tune better than any guitar I've owned, and heavy to shlepp. You won't be disappointed.

Paul
My steel has 4 knee levers and the standard lawrance pickups. That looks like a nice steel that got away from you in the 90's.
When I got my steel from ebay I had to set it all up the guy never played it, it has very little bar marks and is in great shape.
I know if you pay alittle more money and buy a steel from the forum its all setup and you don't have to spend 6 hours setting it up and cleaning it.
Post a pick if you have one of your new Dekley! :o
