Where do they FIND these guys?

Post by David Mason »

I just succumbed and got high-speed internet access, and I have been worthless to the world ever since. :\
Bob Zabek, YouTube tapping prowess:
Dead Man Etude
at 3:44 he does something so impossible (I'm not sure why he's green). :alien:
"The ChEYEld in Me" is pretty amazing too:
ChEYEld
Adam Fulara:
BWV848
I used to want to go to Mississippi and pick cotton to help my guitar playing, but I think I'm headed to Poland instead....

No doubt! Fulara is truly an awesome player. I don't find Zabek as impressive because he uses so many effects, and because he doesn't play anything I recognize (they seem more like original compositions). The Bach stuff Fulara does? I know when that's being done right! ;-)

I don't do any of this tapping thing, but I do find these guys interesting in their approach to the guitar. You have to give them credit for the effort they have put into it.

Fulara. There's no doubt that he's talented. Playing electric guitar in that style doesn't really allow for killer tone (hammer ons will only take you so far). I'd rather hear it on a violin. That said, I can't play it. That's a difficult thing for a guitarist to say!

Trivial: His mouth looks funny while he plays. And people say we look wierd!

ahh..no big deal....

Get back to me when Fulara can play and juggle 3 apples at the same time :(

I'm with David here..
where do these people come from ?

I personally would not call them Guitar players, or the best Guitar players in the World, it just so happens that what they do is very interesting, very good and they happen to USE a Guitar to do it.

everyone knows Luther Perkins was the best guitar player in the world :)

thats why everyone says..

"Pick it Luther"...

I've never heard anyone say..

"Pick it Fulara"

But I guess there's still time...

I'll bet Luther could have played "I walk the line" on an accustic with out all of the effects! ;-)
