Country Music Hall of Fame honors George Strait, Harold Bradley, Sonny James

Sounds like a grand event. Paul Franklin was in the house band.

bOb,
It was a grand event, indeed. The house band was: Paul Franklin-Steel Guitar/Brent Mason-Electric Guitar & Tic-Tac Bass/Michael Rhodes-Bass/Eddie Bayers-Drums/Russ Pahl-Acoustic & Electric Gtr./John Hobbs-Piano/Marty Slayton & Wes Hightower-Background Vocals/Vince Gill-Acoustic & Tic-Tac Bass/Craig Duncan-Fiddle/Jimmie Capps-Acoustic Guitar/Dan Huff Acoustic Guitar.

There were too many highlights to list, however, one show stopper was Connie Smith singing Sonny James' "A World Of Our Own" with the "The Southern Gentlemen" (Sonny James' 4 piece backup vocal group) recreating the harmony parts from Sonny's original hit record.

George Strait, Vince Gill, Reba McIntire, Alan Jackson, Trace Atkins, Ray Stevens and Harold Bradley all performed to an audience of fellow Hall of Famers, Country Music entertainers and industry professionals.
