BTW - right now, they're scheduled to be on the Opry on September 5 - http://www.opry.com/TicketsAndInformation/Calendar.aspx - I wanna hear all about it. I'll betcha they play this tune. ;)

i'm curious about russ pahl...gretchen wilson's cd had him credited for some great playing that reminded me of john hughey...and i heard he played with vince as well...what's his story??

Before joining Vince, Russ had been a studio steel guitarist who worked in the studio with artists like Patty Loveless, Gretchen Wilson, Terri Clark, and Jo Dee Messina. and an example of his steel work can be heard on Gretchen's first record "Here For The Party" and you can also hear him on Patty Loveless's "On Your Way Home" record. Before Russ became a studio player, he was the steel guitarist for a band called Great Plains.
