The man is simply awesome!

Folks who have never played the instrument have no idea how hard it is to make it look that easy. 8)

Great stuff!!

Post by Donny Hinson »

Gee, can someone post whatever pedal setup he's using? Also,
how many levers do he have on that neck? Is he using one of those special bars that give special good tone? Sounds real round and fat, too! Must be one of them tweed applefryers!

Great stuff from one of my heroes. Somebody needs to put performances like these on DVD and out there for sale, as Mike Perlowin did the Chalker video. I would stand in line all day to get one. None of us are getting any younger and if it doesn't happen soon, this stuff will be gone forever.

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro.

Yep! Maurice is a sight for sore ears! Got more talent in his whole body than most guys have in their little fingers! He even told me once after a job we worked together that it was a real pressure working against me and he'd love to do it again sometime if he had to, he said I had a great ear for music, I just didn't have a hole in it.
Every chord I know on the steel guitar I learned from him, ALL THREE! Now, fifty bucks to the guy that can find out what Maurice's middle name is!
Maurice and I will be playing together at the Dallas show, me on mandolin and he'll play bass. It's all planned out ! Then we sing,
He says: That Bobbe Seymour always wanted to play in the worst way, now he does, ,,,, Wha'd that mean?

A very nice swinging session from all involved.

Still Reece was on another plane harmonically.
Like a great 60's bigband jazz horn section.
DLD, Chili farmer. Plus bananas and papaya too.

Real happiness has no strings attached.
But pedal steels have many!

That's easy money, Bobbe! It just came to me one day...like a stroke of lightning. I won't take your money, though. Let's just say it's the same as a pretty famous steel guitar (No silly, not a Rickenbacker.)

Many cities and towns have that name too! Also, an automobile, a former head-of-state, lotsa schools, yup...too easy.

Jeff, are you sure his middle name is not FRANKLIN instead of FREDERICK? Just a thought.

The best argument for "it's in the hands" I've heard in a long time. :)

The band does rip it up on this one, too. I agree with DD - great 60s-style swing band all the way.
