Hi everyone,
I know it's long over due but I finally got a little page up if anyone wants to check it out. The address is www.lapking.com I don't know how to post a link-sorry I know if you go to yahoo and type in lapking.com you'll get there. I don't know if it shows up yet on any other search engines a friend of mine who put this together has just submitted the link to a bunch. I'll be adding stuff very soon, workshop tour and more pics. I hope everyone likes it.

Gary, all are available in eight string. Naturally the pick up dictates the up charge.
Lollar's are totally the way to go, I think.
In fact I inquired about a custom "Charlie Christian" style eight string pick up and I'm planning on going that route for the Rodeos.
I would be happy to quote on a case to case basis.

Jason has just finished a Bel Aire for me (the one he is posing with on the website),- I will post a full review as soon as I've played it for a few days. It will probably take two or three weeks before I have it, so be patient...

Oh well... The quantity isn't much to brag about, but the quality is only getting better.
I've had the Asher for a little over a year now and will never part with it, hopefully the Bel Aire will live up to my expectations, and then I only need one of Loni's 7-stringed Lapdancers and a new GeorgeBoards 8-string, and I'll never surf eBay again......

Hey Jason, I have not seen flame or "curly" tone wood used for a steel before. Dynamite. Looks like my custom curly koa ukes. Any sound samples planned for the future?

That should be doable, in fact, why don't you send me ALL your models and I'll record every one of them!

Seriously, I have held back 2-3 songs for my CD because I'd like to use the Bel Aire for the clean C6 stuff (yup, I'm 'advancing'..),- I'll get working on them as soon as it arrives. But I can also include some short cuts in my review, totally clean and untouched by studio toys, no problem.

Not to give you a hard time but...

When you wrote in your biography that listening to Bill Monroe got you interested in western swing-I think the "Father of Bluegrass Music" might be rolling over in his grave about now, and...

...be careful what you call your resonator guitars-Even though you altered it slightly with a cap in the middle-use of the word "DoBro" could get you into legal trouble with Gibson, as they have owned the name Dobro since 1993-and they apparently are not shy about suing people!

Jason.. Congratulations on making such beautiful instruments.
You could sell 8 string "Rodeos" over in this part of the world with the "CC" pick-up-BUT, not in 25" scale length..22½" is the "Norm" for lap steels, not only in this small part of the world, but I suspect in most places.
