Jeeze Louis, this one floored me.
This is over the 1st song my country band recorded last Dec.
You could have palm blocked me with a feather when I caught the tune.
Good job.
[This message was edited by David L. Donald on 12 August 2003 at 12:29 AM.]

I recorded our 3rd time playing together, to let the others know what we could do. Just a demo for them. It was live in the room, with fiddle, diatonic acordian, acoutic bass, gt. and mandolin, and one dobro overdub after.
But it had "a sound", it still stands up with later recordings.
A darn great song to work with too.

David,
I'd love to hear your rendition of "Desperados Waiting for a Train" and I bet some of the other forum folks might like a hear also, any possibility of an mp3 or some other format on that?

Jus' wondering... is there any other instrument where the players insist on corny puns for CD titles? I can't think of any offhand... what does that say about us? (Don't answer that!)

Well, Weird Al Yankovic plays accordian and all his CD's are punny corns. No steeler (that I know of, hopefully) has tried to follow in his footsteps (right?).

Like take "Together Again" and convert it to a song like "Dismembered Again" That sure would be some "Twisted Steel"

Okay, so mine are corny too:

"Country, bar none"
"I took my bar to the bar to steel some tunes"
"Pedal to the metal"
"Don't fret"
"Steel, don't fret"

If you have a god sized e-mail box I can send it to you. It's a 5.9 meg file
[This message was edited by David L. Donald on 17 August 2003 at 04:54 AM.]

I made a Cd about two years ago an sold it, mainly in my own area I called it Steelin For Fun, most people got a kick out of the title. Jerry
