I'm trying to track down a steel player named Larry Orr.. I thought I'd seen his name on the Froum but haven't found anything as yet.

Apparently Larry was part of the band Jimmy Snyder & The Country Squires.
The group was led by Jimmy Snyder, with drummer Rusty "Brian" Welch, steel player Larry Orr, and Tony Booth (yes that Tony Booth).
I think these guys were working the Southwest circuit during the mid 1960s, and of course Booth moved to the West Coast by the late 1960s and Snyder would move (back)there as well after a stint in Texas. (he and Darrell McCall were on the same label in 1970).

Anyone got info on Larry, I'd appreciate any tips.
Regards

Jason.

He played gospel music with the Blue Ridge Quartet at one time. Enjoyed his playing very much!
