Ok, all the clips on the country side have been transposed to MP3 and edited for clarity of the steel. Have started re-doing the code on the pages to cover this change. Have provided you with a link to a sample page as I will not put the site as a whole up until everything is complete.

http://users.interlinks.net/rebel/steel/1999.html

Don't believe these will automatically open and play in older versions of Netscape. They may in newer versions and will with no problem in I.E.

Feedback as to sound quality will be welcome.

Thank you.

When I try to open them on Mac 10.2.5, I get jibberish text characters. Then again, the hard tabs look like gibberish to me any way. Image

Graham and Ricky, thanks for bringing the site back up...The mp3's are super and fast on the d'load. 'We sure appreciate your efforts and if someone has a PayPal or something I would certainly like to donate a couple of bucks for the maintenance...We know it's not free. Thanks again. Gord and Lawrence:

Try RIGHT clicking on the title and then save the clip to your hard drive. From there, you probably have a program that will play mp3's.

I use Netscape 4.6 and get the same thing if I try to open one in that.

Graham and Ricky,
I had to download as well and they played in Winamp.
The sound is just super. I can hear a difference from the RA files (have them on my harddrive).

Want to join the chorus and thank you guys, again, for this rethinking about the site and
your present effort in remastering and converting to MP3.

As before, I'm more than willing to contribute financially to the site, if you guys so choose that option.

you Mac guys getting the text screen stuff, try this: hold the "control" key down and click on the link- a contextual menu will pop up with one of the choices being "download link to disk".. choose where o save it and you are set...

there is only one mouse button on most macs so "right clicking" is out, but control - click does essentially the same thing...

Thanks, Dave. I know nothing about Macs and just surmised they worked the same as a Windows platform.

Rebel & Ricky,
Thanks so much for your effort in restoring the website. It can't be said any better than Mr. Lloyd Green. You guys are key contributors to steel guitar as we know it today. I made minimal contibution to the site, but will promise to submit more tab and audio to support the cause in the future. Thanks so much.

Full respect,
Terry Downs

Fellas:

Brother Ricky thanks you, Brother Jeff thanks you, and I thank you, for all your wonderful comments.

I hope now that some who know how to tab will step into the breach and help us make the site even better. There is still a lot of music on the site that has not been tabbed out and Ricky and Jeff could use the help.

Rusty: Let me know when you fellas are playing around here sometime. Will take you up on your offer for the 2 seats! Image

Keith: Good to see you on here. Hope things are well with you and the Mrs.

Glad it got you goin' Gord...

It may be "sacrelige" but if you have a USB keyboard Mac, you can hook up a 2 button USB mouse and it WILL right click giving the contextual menus similar to Windoze...

I don't know didly–squat about PC's! I only have webtv, but; the samples play very well, with my unit! I hope the format doesn't change, in the future; or it might no longer work for me! Good Job! Thanks, "Big John" http://community.webtv.net/KeoniNui/BigJohnBechtels
