Mini Disc to CD?
Has anyone transferred music from MD to CD? Apparently, you can
input to computer via a cable with a 1/8" jack. This is considered an
analog transfer, so how much noise or audio degradation is
introduced? (Still way less than using analog cassette, I would
guess.)
Most folk don't have Mini Disc capability, so in order to share the
music, you need to transfer to CD.

Jeff, I use MiniDisk quite a bit and I've always recorded to CD like your talking about by going into the computer through the sound card with an 1/8" stereo plug. I have never noticed a problem with noise. This is the same way you would transfer a cassette or LP to CD.
My MD has digital cable outputs as well as RCA jacks. The digital cable outputs are for connecting to a home stereo type CD recorder. I am not aware of a PC type CD burner that accepts the digital cables, so I use the RCA jacks.
I have recorded from BIAB to MiniDisk, added vocals & instruments then recorded the MD back into the computer and on to CD and have never noticed any problem with added noise.
