When I have been on my computer for awhile,my cursor will freeze on the screen and I have to shut down and re-srart is there a fix for this problem.Thanks

That's too general of a question. We need your OS, version, which service pack, how much memory, what kind of peripherals, CPU speed, etc.
My dual Celeron used to lock up like that once in a while, even wiped out my hard drive once when I had to do a hard reboot.
Turned out I had the CPU voltage too low for overclocking.

True it can be a lot of things, but first
Check Your Fans!
There's one on the Power Supply that you can feel from the outside, and usually at least one on the CPU. You'll have to remove the cover for that.
They can get stalled with dust or whatever. It'll cost you a lot if you run HOT long enough to harm chips.
