Test your computer vulnerability

Post by erik »

I found this link that tests your computer for hackabilty. The only thing open on my computer is the NetBIOS which showed my user name, computer name, and workgroup - all of which are just alpha/numeric characters of no import. nothing else was accessible. How do you fare?

This is part of what it said: It is exposing its NetBIOS names (see below) over the Internet, but it is refusing to allow connections, so it is unlikely that anyone could gain casual entry into your system due to its connection to the Internet.
[This message was edited by erik on 27 April 2002 at 06:58 AM.]

erik,

I love this site www.grc.com It has been one of my favorites for a long time. Steve Gibson who runs it is amazing. I use almost all of his apps that he has on his site!

I highly recommend going to his site and reading some of his articles. Some of them are a little heavy on the "techy" jargon, but if you can understand some of it they are worth it.
