Midi Sequencing?
I have some files of old civil war era songs that can play and are played thru WMP [Windows Media Player]. These files are listed as a MIDI SEQUENCING type. They only will play in WMP. They will not play in
GoldWave or BIAB.
What are these files anyway? and can they be converted to play in GW and BIAB?
Thanks All for any help...ChipsAhoy

Chips, What is the extension of the music files your talking about. Like, ".mid" or ".wma" or ??
Dave, You guys have a program that will convert music files like midi back into BIAB native format?
Biab can import midi files, but basically only into the melody channel. On the new version 11, it will attempt to read the chord progression into the bars/measures so you can make a BIAB files using the "style" you choose to use.

Hi Chip,
These are absolutely standard Midi files (type 1, with all the tracks separate)
They play like a dream in Cakewalk, Logic, Cubase etc, etc.
Would you like me to strip them down to just leave the melody line and let BIAB work out the accompaniment, or would you prefer them as an MP3?.
Cheers
Dave
