MS Train Simulator
Anybody own this? It looks like a lot of fun. I read the package but couldn't determine if i would need any type of console. What device works best in using this program? I won't spend the $50 until i know what i need. Thanks.

Need a pretty good pc to run Train Sim; smooth running takes some video power.
Not a whole lot of variety with the sim, but hobbyists and other companies are producing add-ons with new engines, cars and routes. Included is an activity editor and route editor.
It is pretty impressive, though, and if you like trains a lot you would like the sim. There are good activities built in, and you can also just take a train for an exploring ride on the routes. Has a great realistic feel, and lots of different camera angles to control.

Erik.....
Spend the money. I got it and (to be trueful) I like it better than both FlightSim packages.... (FS98 + FS2000) If you have a really good hi-end graphics card, you can even see the different colors of tree leaves.
If any down side to it, it is that you MUST have a fast PC with a LOT of PC133 memory along with a Gforce3 or better video card. This is not to say that it wont run on a lesser system but it will have a tendency to be a bit slow and the graphics aren't as detailed like a Simulator should be.
