Band in a box question.

Post by Bill Erb »

I just bought and installed band in a box11. I have looked threw the book and cannot find the answer to this question. If one has a song typed into the chart and when playing back found out that a cord was left out. How would I go about spreading the bars to add another bar with out having to remove and type everything back in.It is a real pain to have to delete everything and start over. Thanks for your help in advance.

I think I just answered my own question. I typed in a 4 bars of cords. I wanted to enter another cord in the 3rd bar. I highlighted the last two bars and cut and highlighted where I wanted to move them and pasted them back in. This gave me a open bar to type in my new cord. I don't know if this was the best way but it seemed to work. Can this be done in any other way?

Go to the Biab site.
They will help you with just about any question you have.

You could have inserted a bar from the Edit menu.

All you need to do is put the cursor at the place you want to enter a new measure and goto edit. In there you will find add measure. It defaults to 1 but you can change the number to what ever you need. You can also delete measures with the edit menu.

Hey Bill good to hear you answered your own quesion. One other thought, and it may help with other software questions as well. Micro-soft friendy means exactly that. The upper most menu bar will be the same for all microsoft friendly programs, BIAB being one of them.
File, Edit etc... use them in good health.
They are there for a reason.

Good Luck

Yes, Doug. I've got BIAB with the V11 megapak upgrade. Working OK with XP Home.

Hi Doug, I've heard that long file names for for versions below 11 don't work under XP.

I am running BIAB version 10 with WIN 2000 Professional, I am having trouble with long file names here as well. It may be me , but I have't spent any research time on it yet. Version 10 loaded on my WIN98 machine does allow for long file names..So I know it's not BIAB, I'm calling Bill Gates this afternoon, I'm sure he knows why !
Perhpas I'll go up on the PG website, the answer may be there...
