BIAB's VSC = glitch

Post by Chip Fossa »

I bought the latest BIAB ver.11 and with it comes the Roland Virtual Sound Canvas. In
VSC there is a place where you can go into
the Windows section and enable VSC to play,
I guess not only all MIDI, but other sound files as well. So I enabled VSC to play all sound. It plays well and is a lot clearer and truer than MSN's Crystal WDM Audio.

I also have an Internet Keyboard Pro that has nice little buttons to MUTE and + the volume and - the volume. This function is not working now after making the VSC changeover. I went into the KEYBOARD folder and clicked on 'upgrade' and that usually restores the function, but this time around,
has not.

Any suggestions, fellas, gals?

I don't think that's a "glitch". Your keyboard volume control keys are designed to work with the Windows "volume control" system. If you install something else it won't work unless what you install uses the Windows volume control.

I have a SB Live audio card and in comparisons with the older VSC88 the SB Live card was better, in my system. I didn't load the new version primarily because I didn't want another application to load at startup and take away from system resources and I'm happy with the SB Live MIDI synthesizer.
